[BONNET SILK MUSEUM] Tribute to the fashion designer Hugo Desloges!

Spotted at 14 years old by the President of the Miss Rhône-Alpes Committee, Hugo Desloges, he is a young fashion genius who made his mark with the Miss! And when Maëva Coucke, Miss France 2018, chooses one of her outfits for the Miss World competition, the great adventure begins...!

Originally from Oyonnax in Ain, Hugo Desloges was attracted to couture from his early youth. At just 10 years old, he practiced making his first clothes: a little top, a dress, a skirt... Alongside his schooling, he perfected his know-how which became, beyond leisure, a true passion and soon a profession. Then, everything happens very quickly.

In 2014, at the age of 14, he was spotted by the President of the Miss Rhône-Alpes Committee who gave him a chance. He began by creating a few dresses for the participants and in 2015, on the occasion of the Miss Haut Bugey election, he presented around ten ready-to-wear and evening models. It was then his first parade.

The year 2018 is a real accelerator. The winner of Miss Rhône-Alpes wears one of her creations and Maëva Coucke, Miss France 2018, chooses one of her outfits for the Miss World competition. Hugo was only 17 years old at the time.

At the beginning of 2020, he created and launched his custom tailoring business, wedding dresses and evening wear, a selection of which is presented in the former weaving workshops.

This dazzling red ball gown in tulle handkerchief with a corseted bustier covered in pearls and crystals was worn by Amandine Petit, Miss France 2021.

He has since hung up his scissors to devote himself to a new professional activity. This exhibition pays tribute to his talent as a fashion designer.
